Cropped Jeans
Cropped jeans are great for summer time whether it be for daily wear or casual evening parties, they are pretty much universal and can be suited to most occasions. Cropped jeans can be very flattering to the smaller woman by elongating the legs and showing a peep of those lovely legs and ankles, they are also sinfully comfortable so that practicality is not an issue.

Distressed Jeans
Distressed jeans are a style of jeans rather than a specific fit or shape, usually distressed jeans are faded, torn, frayed and discoloured for best effects. Distressed jeans are great for more casual occasions providing that the rest of your clothing is suited too, for example at a party distressed jeans should be combined with a smart shirt or dress top rather than a casual t shirt because it is easy to look underdressed when wearing them.

Mid Rise Jeans
Mid rise jeans are considered by many to be the best of both worlds, a high level of comfort and fit combined with style and popularity. Most women look best with a mid to low rise or just below the waist. If mid-rise jeans seem too low you may want to try on jeans in a larger size, you may find that you’re wearing a size to small that lacks around the waist. If leg length is a problem don’t worry, there are many shops that sell jeans with a wide range in leg length.

Low Rise Jeans
Low Rise Jeans sit low from the waist line and provide that perfect opportunity to show off a flat stomach. Women who wear low rise jeans generally are not the right shape for them, just walking down the high street I see women short, tall, thin and round in low rise jeans.
High Rise Jeans
High rise jeans sit at your natural waist line and can look great on most women as they give the illusion of height by lengthening the leg.

Stonewashed Jeans
Stonewashed jeans are a great look they suit most women and are fabulous for casual occasion. Almost all women, of all body shapes will look amazing in a pair of stonewashed denims, however not all skin tones will look as great.

Flared Jeans
Flares are making a massive comeback in 2011 skinny jeans are no longer the “In” fashion which means apple and pear shaped women around the world can air punch in relief! Flares can be suited for most occasions; they make an especially fab option for smart dress at gatherings such as parties and family meals etc, they can also be worn casually for shopping or meeting friends.

Boyfriend Jeans
Boyfriend Jeans are loose, baggy and slouchy jeans that look like a man’s jean cut. This style of jeans are one of the latest trends when it comes to denim! You may think boyfriend jeans are what they say a pair of your boyfriend’s jeans but this is not the case.

Wide Leg Jeans
For the last few years skinny jeans have been the most sought after denim, lately however, it seems the wide leg jean has been making a quiet comeback, thanks in part to trendy celebs like Nicole Richie and Rachel Zoe. This laidback look is heavily influenced by the bell-bottom jeans of the 1960s and 70s hippie-era and is the easiest way to give you a longer, skinnier leg.

Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans are now the most sought after denim since flares in the 70’s thanks to almost every celebrity in the biz, in fact 80% of jeans sold in the high street to women are skinny! So lets start with the basics: body shapes, first of all if you are pear or hourglass, excellent you probably already know that you can pull of almost any look.
Straight Leg Jeans
Straight cut jeans flow straight down from the waist making the legs the same width as the waist. They are considered by many to be the holy grail of jeans, others consider them boring but its a matter of personal opinion.

Bootcut Jeans
Bootcut jeans are fitted nicely around the hips to the knee and flare slightly from the knee down. Some boot-cut jeans flare out more than others which makes different pairs suited to different body shapes. As the name suggest boot cut jeans were made typically to be worn with boots, the slight flare allows the jeans to be tucked into boots without the problem of bunching or having too much denim in your boots to allow you to zip them up.
